Outside the hospice...the crowd...spent most of the day heckling police and protesting loudly. The noise prompted Schiavo's brother, Bobby Schindler, to come out and ask protesters to tone down their behavior:
"You are not speaking for our family.''

I don't thing the Schindler's have figured out the exent to which they have gotten mixed up with groups that are out to use this issue to advance their agendas. I very much doubt that Randell Terry cares much about this case. I suspect this is an opportunity for him to find an issue that makes him seem less extreme. It is sort of like David Duke trying to go mainstream.
The worst thing is that the rest of us are going to have to deal with the fall out from this.
I am glad to see that a large number of Americans have seen the actions of congress and mr. Bush for what they are: A blatent attempt to manipulate people to view them as standing up for the weak and pathetic few. I am happy to see this backfire, and it pleases me to see people engaging thier minds for a change.
