Oh, one other thing. Gibbs also had a unique theory on whether Terry Schiavo would have wanted to live in a persistent vegetative state with half a brain:

It said that Terry had massive, irreversible brain damage, that far from being able to track a balloon, she was blind due to the death of the vision areas of the brain. It said her brain was half the size it should have been, and that no amount of therapy or treatment would have improved her condition, which was "consistent with a persistent vegetative state".
So what did David Gibbs III, the lawyer for Schiavo's parents, say today?
The lawyer for the Schindlers said at a news conference today that the parents continue to believe their daughter was not in a persistent vegetative state...Of course. Why would they believe otherwise?

It just astounds me every time I read something by the nut jobs on the religious right. "Oh, we dispute that Terri was blind..." morons. They wasted so much of our time and resources by refusing to use as little brain as their poor daughter was left with. If I am going to hell at least I won't have to be around these fools anymore.

There was so much cynicism at the heart of this it takes the breath away. From everything we've read it seems as if both the Schindlers and their parade of quacks knew the truth about their daughter's condition, so one can only speculate about their motives.
As for our fine elected officials, it's more than clear that their agenda is an all-out attack on the judicial system, as it represents the last remaining obstacle to the plutocracy/theocracy/mob rule they've been hired to establish.
