Cellphone Trouble...
The Nokia phone we've been using for a few years has been giving us trouble. It doesn't always ring when we have a call, and doesn't notify us of voice-mail messages for days. We've missed a lot of calls.
We were thinking about getting a new one, or sending this one in for repairs, but then we thought: what we really need to do is think about all the things the phone is doing right.

You might want to start out by developing metrics for effective cell phone performance. Busy signal that works 99 percent of the time. Portable shape and size that allows cell phone to fit comfortably in 340 out of 366 pockets in your wardrobe. Mother in law whose calls you are no longer receiving do to serendipitous performance failures. Then repeat metrics to anyone willing to listen. That should do it.
